Worley's Map of Collection Records for Campylium stellatum

Ian Worley

Southeastern Alaska Distribution: See Map 162. Throughout.
Habitat: In wet or moist situations, most frequently on shaded cliff walls, canyon shelves, in crevices on outcrops and on soil over boulders. Also found on soil, at the margins of salt marshes and in fens. When over rock there seems to be a preference for calcareous substrates.
Comments: Sporophytes have not been noted in the southeastern Alaska populations.
