Southeastern Alaska Distribution: New to the region. Known only from Harbor Mountain, above Sitka, Baranof Island, Worley and Boas 10152.
Habitat: The Alaskan material was growing on bare soil formed from volcanic ash, at the base of a rock near the summit of the mountain. It is otherwise known from porous rock near late snow patches.The Alaskan plants were fertile, and extend the known range several hundred miles to the North.
