Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Throughout at all elevations.
Habitat: Epiphytic on trees and shrubs, especially in peatlands and in the subalpine, in tundra, on cliffs, on rotting wood, in muskegs, and in related habitats; often as extensive, pure mats.
Comments: Always sterile in southeastern Alaska.
