Abundance: Common
Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Widespread in the south, rarer in the north. Not known north of Icy Strait.
Habitat: Bases of trees, on rocks, occasionally on rotting wood in shaded forests and gorges. seldom recorded from limestone areas.
Comments: Not known to produce sporophytes in the region. Asexual reproduction by caducous leaves and underleaves.
