Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Generally throughout, but rare in wetter climatic sites.
Habitat: Among bryophytes and other plants in subalpine and alpine sites. Also on shady cliff shelves in successional areas and covering sunny, sandy tills. Generally wherever there are well drained sites and not deep shade.
Comments: This species has not been seen with sporophytes in southeastern Alaska.
