BFNA Treatment of Andreaea nivalis
Southeastern Alaska Distribution: Probably throughout in the alpine and subalpine.
Habitat: Generally abundant in late snow-patch areas, melt-water streams, runnels, gulleys, wet slopes and rocks, occasionally in drier sites.
Comments: This species may be found near sea level on rocks in peatlands and outcrops in boggy slopes in areas of high rainfall.
