Amphiodia occidentalisLong-armed brittle starThis brittle star can be found by turning rocks over in muddy locations. It is sometimes very abundant. Note the short spines on its arms. A similar subtidal species is Amphiodia periercta.
Amphiodia perierctaBurrowing Brittle StarFor identification, see Lambert and Austin 2007. This is a subtidal species. Intertidal specimens are probably the closely related Amphiodia occidentalis.
